Mackenzie is a native Virginian who has had a passion for filmmaking and storytelling since childhood. After years of making short films with friends and family, she went on to pursue her passions at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she graduated with a degree in Film and Television studies. ​

Since college, Mackenzie has been working in the film industry as a jack of all trades, though her main focus and love is editing and producing.
