Jake grew up in Minneapolis making short movies. Rather than attend college, he started a video production company with his brother. Before long he was living in New York City pursuing a career in film and television, working with the Assistant Directors department on more than a dozen movies and TV shows.
When the world came to a halt at the beginning of the pandemic, so did the film industry. Jake escaped from New York to enter the world of political theater as an appointee in the Environmental Protection Agency responsible for video and digital media.
After the administration Jake directed a documentary based on the 130 year old traditions of Mississippi's Giant Houseparty. He is now back in DC as a Producer and Editor at Hereford.
